The Sociology Department at Coastline College explores the people, relationships, and social systems that shape our communities and everyday lives. Through the study of Sociology, Human Services, and Aging Studies, students gain the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and practical experience needed to understand social issues, support diverse populations, and create meaningful change.

Graduates are well prepared for careers in social services, nonprofit organizations, healthcare, education, community advocacy, public administration, and other people-centered professions, as well as for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
