Assist in providing client services in a wide variety of fields, such as psychology, rehabilitation, or social work, including support for families. May assist clients in identifying and obtaining available benefits and social and community services. May assist social workers with developing, organizing, and conducting programs to prevent and resolve problems relevant to substance abuse, human relationships, rehabilitation, or dependent care.

Individuals with a major in Human Services can enhance their professional helping skills, offering them greater work opportunities as social-service technicians, case management aides, mental health technicians, gerontology aides, special-education teacher aides, and residential managers. Additionally, police officers, firefighters, military counselors, and others dealing with the public will benefit from the program training. The major exposes the student to the most current thinking in the field, hands-on experience, and community networking.
