Free or low-cost medical services offered at the Student Health Center.
The Student Health Center offers some simple "point-of-care" lab tests, including COVID, influenza, urinalysis, pregnancy, and rapid Strep A. These tests are performed in the health center and the student is charged a small fee to cover the Health Center's cost. All outside laboratory tests such as bloodwork must be paid to the Student Health Center before going to the lab. The Student Health Center does not bill health insurance. Minor students require their legal guardian to complete a Minor Consent Form to access medical treatment.

All cases of communicable diseases will be reported to the County Health Department as required by law.
A communicable disease is one that is spread from one person to another through a variety of ways that include: contact with blood and bodily fluids; breathing in an airborne virus; or by being bitten by an insect.
Reporting of cases of communicable disease is important in the planning and evaluation of disease prevention and control programs, in the assurance of appropriate medical therapy, and in the detection of common-source outbreaks. California law mandates healthcare providers and laboratories to report over 80 diseases or conditions to their local health department. Some examples of the reportable communicable diseases include Hepatitis A, B & C, influenza, measles, and salmonella and other food borne illnesses.
Please follow prevention guidelines to help protect yourself and others from getting sick with the flu: wash hands often, cover coughs and sneezes (with your elbow), stay home if you're sick, and get your flu shot. For more information on the flu, view the CDC website.
Coastline is now offering flu vaccination to students via two health centers.
The OCC Student Health Center is offering free flu vaccination to Coastline students.
Supplies are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (714) 714-7705 to schedule your flu vaccination.
The GWC Student Health Center offers $16 flu shots. To make an appointment call (714) 895-8479.

Coastline College is participating in the Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP). The NDP is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and administered by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to combat opioid overdose-related deaths throughout California. The NDP aims to address the opioid crisis by reducing opioid overdose deaths through the provision of free nasal naloxone, or NARCAN®. NARCAN® is a life-saving medication used for the treatment of an opioid emergency such as an overdose or a possible opioid overdose. NARCAN® Nasal Spray is to be given right away and does not take the place of emergency medical care.
Orange Coast College Health Center and Golden West College Health Center are our health care providers for Coastline students and are eligible to receive free NARCAN® through their Medical Director's order.
Coastline College Campus Safety first responders have NARCAN® available for opioid overdose emergencies.
The Coast Community College District (CCCD) has concluded its vaccination verification and testing program. Vaccination and booster shots are strongly encouraged for all those eligible. Indoor masking on campus and all District facilities is strongly recommended. Masking is still required in the Student Health Centers.
