- Ability to apply twice a year: Fall or Spring admission.
- Flexible part-time schedules with evening or weekend schedules.
- Has select Online BA-BS majors programs through CSU University Extension or through the CSU campus.
Note: CSU Online Programs offered through University Extension will have slightly higher tuition rates per unit compared to campus site-based degree programs. - On a semester-based system similar to Coastline's class schedule.
- CSU offers lower tuition and overall college costs compared to UC and private universities.
As you apply to any of the 23 CSU campuses, be aware that impaction and access may affect your application status. Local area preference or Service Area is determined by the college location, not applicant's residence.
Local Preferences
CSU Local Admission and Service Areas
CSU campuses, specifically in Southern Califorina, receive the highest umber of applications - more than each campus can admit. This is CSU impaction. Check CSU campuses and the community colleges within their local admission and service areas.
Out of 23 CSU campuses, the majority of Coastline graduates transfer to Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) and Cal State Long Beach (CSULB).
Our CSU local admission and service area is CSU Fullerton. A Coastline transfer graduate applying to CSU Fullerton will receive preference admission consideration - get an admissions offer! - with moderate GPA cutoffs compared to applicants who graduated from non-Orange County community colleges and may need to meet higher GPA cut-offs. CSUs determine local admission/service area by the college attended, not the applicant's residence.
