Dolphin Assistance Program (DAP)
The Student Equity department offers the Dolphin Assistance Program (DAP) to support students with two textbook offerings through a book borrowing collection and/or book voucher. Review the offerings below to check your eligibility!
Please contact studentequity@coastline.edu with any questions.
Book Borrowing: Summer 2025
The book borrowing program contains a collection of books used in a variety of Coastline classes. All textbook assistance requests will first go through the book borrowing program to determine whether the textbook needed is already in our borrowing library. If the book is not available to borrow, the student may be issued a book voucher to purchase it from the bookstore.
Students who borrow a book must be participants in the Dolphin Assistance Program and agree to attend a workshop, return the book(s), and complete a survey at the conclusion of the semester.
The application for Summer 2025 will open May 1st. Please check back at that time to apply.

The Dolphin Assistance Program book voucher is awarded to eligible students in the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms based on program funding availability, student program eligibility, and financial aid eligibility. Students participating in the Book Voucher program agree to return all purchased items to the Student Equity Office at the conclusion of the semester. The books will be donated to the Coastline book borrowing program. Students must participate in one workshop and complete a follow up survey.
