Faculty will be encouraged to reflect on their communication practices and how these can be adjusted to promote a sense of belonging and inclusion from the very first interaction.
Additionally, attendees will learn how to rewrite and/or create syllabus language, assignments, and correspondence that reflect inclusive and culturally responsive practices. Through hands-on exercises and group discussions, faculty will gain the skills to revise their materials and communication to promote a sense of belonging, equity, and support for all students.
