Spring Registration Open
It's time to check out the Class Schedule and sign up for new courses!
- Intersession/Spring 2025 Registration: begins October 28, 2024
- Intersession 2025 Semester: begins January 2, 2025
- Spring 2025 Semester: begins Friday, January 31, 2025
To view your assigned registration date and time, log into MyCoast, click on the Registration link. Under Registration Tools click "When Can I Register".
We are happy you are looking to join us at Coastline. There are a few steps to complete before you can Register for classes:
- Apply to Coastline through Open CCC and the state of California.
- You'll receive an e-mail confirmation within 48 hours after submitting your application.
- In 5 business days, you will receive a second email with your username, password, registration date and time and instructions on how to register via MyCoastPortal. At that time you can register for classes at Coastline!
How To Register
You may register for classes on or after your assigned appointment time. To register for classes, log in to MyCoast Portal and follow the steps below:
- Click on the Registration link on the left navigation bar.
- Under Registration Tools, click on "Add or Drop Classes."
- Click on "Register for Classes."
- Select a term (ex: Spring 2024) then click "Continue."
- Click on "Enter CRNs" Tab.
- Enter Course Reference Numbers (CRNs) from the online searchable schedule, then click "Add to Summary." NOTE: If a course requires enrollment in two sections, i.e., a lecture and a lab, enter both CRNs then click "Add to Summary."
- Review your courses in the "Summary" panel in the lower right corner. If you do not see the Summary Panel click on the Panel button at the bottom of the page to open the panels.
- Click on "Submit" to register your classes.

Textbook Purchases
Buy your books online. The process to purchase your textbooks is easy once you've got your class schedule.
Attend Class
Go to class! If you miss the first day of class, your seat may be given away to another student. If you enrolled in an online class, log in to the class via the "My Courses" link in your MyCoast portal on the first day of the semester! If you don't log on during the first week of class, you might be dropped!
