The Mission of the Human Resources Department is to provide the support, respect, and service to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and well-qualified workforce of leaders, faculty, and staff whose collective goal is to provide accessible, high-quality learning experiences to meet the educational needs of Coastline College.
Justine is a Human Resource professional with more than ten years of leadership experience in academia. Prior to accepting this role at Coastline, she served as the Director of Human Resources at Stanbridge University, where she facilitated translating the organization's vision into HR initiatives that focused on performance, growth, and employee engagement and satisfaction. Her recent accomplishments include implementing a merit-based performance management system with a heavy emphasis on operating results, spearheading value-add employee recognition and awards programs, and creating a strategic recruiting plan to appropriately staff the university's two newly opened campuses in Los Angeles and Riverside counties.
She obtained a Master of Science degree in Business and a professional Human Resources certificate from the University of Phoenix. Justine specializes in the following HR functions:

The Coastline Community College District Benefits Office provides faculty, staff, administrators, retirees and COBRA participants with support on the District's health, welfare, and retirement benefits plans by providing one-on-one counseling and assistance over the phone, in person, and via email, and maintaining an effective benefits communication program. The Benefits Office administers the Coastline Community College District sponsored benefits plans and services in a timely and efficient manner.
Our purpose is to prepare for the next generation of Coastline Community College leaders and improve and expand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the current staff and faculty. The program includes employment orientation, job performance management training related to key subject domains, personal enrichment workshops, and leadership development academies in support of succession planning.
