As I discovered more about Coastline in person during my second year here, I found a great community of wonderful people that helped me to thrive. From PTK to Student Life, to the VRC, and to Basic Needs, there were a lot of people who helped me get here. Special Thanks to Professor Karen Marks and Dr. Wooten, for helping find which path to take, to Natalie, my PTK advisor, for seein potential in me to lead, and Carissa Montooth, my Umoja Counselor, for helping me map all of this out. My journey continues with me transfering over 100 credits, thank you all for setting me up for success.

As I close this chapter, I honor Dr. Tanya Hoerer, one of the most influential professors I've ever had. She saw me and changed my self-doubt into confidence to pursue my dreams. Her mentorship kept me from giving up and I finally made it. I feel capable of achieving all my goals and will always remember her, hoping to make her proud as I move forward. I am forever grateful for the person she is.
