"I am very glad to learn the different types of plagiarism and how I can avoid them. Before this workshop, I just knew that copying someone's work without citing it is called plagiarism, but now I know a lot about plagiarism and different way to how can avoid it. I was doing this workshop for extra credit, but I actually learned some life-saving tips. I am very thankful for this workshop, and it has motivated me to try out more workout shops so I can learn a lot of things that can help me with my work."

Hearing this, I was really glad to hear as all my classes are fully online so it was reassuring to know that I still can utilize these amazing resources. I really appreciate the extra effort that the librarians do to ensure the success of the students here. Thanks!"
"I am thrilled that Coastline has provided an orientation for their students to access resources provided for them. I would also like to comment on the production of the orientation. It was done exceptionally well, and I enjoyed the way Elizabeth presented the information. Thank you!"

FYI : Proctorio in Library Workshops
The library workshops use online proctoring programs to discourage cheating and verify you are the student taking the workshop. We do this because it is the law (Federal Code 34 C.F.R. 602.17(g)) and CCCD Board Policy (AP 4150). In the library workshops we use Proctorio for this. The video below explains Proctorio for students.
For the library workshops you will need:
- Photo ID (in english)
- Computer with webcam and microphone (Proctorio does not work on iPads or mobile phones)
- To install one of these supported Internet Browsers to be able to install the Proctorio browser extension. You will do this in the library workshop in Canvas.
