S.O.S. = Support Our Students through financial programs to help those affected by COVID-19
The mission of the Coastline Community College Foundation is to support students through scholarships, endowment, and other financial programs to expand the capacity to meet the diverse needs of Coastline students and the community.
Coastline is currently raising funds to support Student Scholarships, Giving Tuesday, and Coastline's Pantry.
COVID-19 presents a variety of obstacles for Coastline College students, including the loss of jobs, food and housing insecurities, childcare, internet access, remote-learning technology and more. Those who are suffering need our help to stay in school and work toward financial stability.
This fundraiser will provide immediate grants to our students to help them through this challenging time and help ensure they stay enrolled in school. We are asking our donors, community members, faculty, and staff to do their part by donating today to this worthy cause.
Your gift will help vulnerable Coastline students with urgent financial assistance for food, rent, basic necessities, child care, textbooks, tuition assistance and more.
Coastline College Foundation postponed the 2020 Scholarship Recognition Dinner (originally scheduled for April 23, 2020) due to COVID-19 social distancing and stay-at-home orders mandated by the State of California and provided a virtual ceremony on June 19, 2020.
The Coastline Promise improves access to higher education by removing financial obstacles to first-year students who are recent graduates from our local, partnering high school districts (such as Newport-Mesa, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, and Westminster). Coastline's Promise is to provide committed students a tuition-free first year at Coastline, with up to $1,000 in bookstore vouchers (for their fall & spring semesters), as well as wrap-around services such as Student Success Coaches, tutoring and more. For more information on the Coastline Promise, please view our Coastline Promise web page.
Coastline Community College Foundation is depending on community partners to offer their support of the Promise. When the promise of education is fulfilled, it's not just the students who benefit but the whole community benefits by elevating families out of poverty. In return, the community and local economy benefits through well-educated, career-ready graduates who live and work in our region. Pledge your support to the Coastline Promise and transform the community – donate online. To find out how you can partner with the Coastline Promise, please contact Mariam Khosravani (by email: mkhosravani@coastline.edu) or call the Foundation at (714) 241-6154.

In 1984, it became obvious to the Coast Community College District Board of Trustees that private funding had become a necessary supplement to enable the District's three colleges to sustain their high level of quality and innovation. The time arrived to develop new funding mechanisms for our community college system. In November 1985, Coastline Community College Foundation held its first official meeting as an incorporated 501 (C) (3) organization. The foundation serves the college as an independent organization with a full board of directors, staff allocated by the college, and a full range of activities and services to the college and receives gifts of time, talent and resources from hundreds of donors each year, who are committed to changing a life...one student at a time. Coastline Community College is unique in that it serves many communities rather than being affiliated in only one. Founded in 1976, the fully accredited college offers classes at more than 60 sites located in coastal Orange County. In addition to class sites located in Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Seal Beach, and Westminster, many students take classes in their homes online or through telecourses. As a comprehensive college, Coastline offers transfer and A.A. degree programs, occupational certificates, and also serves the needs of adults needing English language skills and remedial education. The Foundation plays a significant role in the life of the college and currently supports campaigns for computer equipment, scholarships, planned giving, and many other programs and services.
The Coastline Foundation continually searches for new and innovative ways to serve the Coastline community. Coastline Community College is a campus without walls, and the Coastline Foundation (like its parent college) knows no barriers. Contact the Foundation at foundation@coastline.edu or call (714) 241-6154.

Coastline Community College would like to thank our partnering companies and organizations for their continued support of our students and programs.
Coastline Community College has changed the lives of many students through the annual Student Scholarship Awards Program. Scholarships provided by private donations, in addition to business and industry, have enabled Coastline students to make a difference in the communities they serve.
Many scholarship recipients are first-time college students, re-entry adults, career changers or single parents striving to complete their educational goals. For these students, a scholarship award can make a profound difference in the continued success of their college program or career.
To contribute to the Scholarship Program, mail a completed donor form and your tax deductible donation, payable to the Coastline College Foundation, to the address as shown on the application. There is no limit to the amount you may donate. Donors of $250 or more may choose a title for their scholarship(s) (e.g., The John Doe Scholarship of Excellence) and recommend criteria for the award. You also may wish to contribute to a general endowment fund where the interest is used to fund new scholarships.
Your generosity will be noted in several Coastline publications, including the Scholarship Reception Program, Graduation Program, and Annual Report. In addition, for any donation of $500 or more, your name will be added to our Wall of Recognition located at the College Center in Fountain Valley. Donors of $250 or more will be invited to meet the recipients and present their scholarships at the annual Scholarship Awards Dinner, to be held on April 23, 2019, at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. Donor Application Form (PDF Document). For more information, please call (714) 241-6154 or email foundation@coastline.edu.
Education elevates society as a whole, but it can make all the difference to some. Through your contributions, more students are able to pursue their academic and career ambitions.
