Coastline students can ride the OC bus to school, work, shopping, and beach for free!
With unlimited rides on all OC Bus local fixed routes*, it is easy and convenient to get to Coastline College. Relax in our air-conditioned buses and avoid paying parking costs. Students of Coastline can ride safely and with peace of mind knowing that you are contributing to a healthier and greener environment.

Ride the Wave!
Starting Spring 2026, the Wave by OCTA app and Wave card will replace the OC Bus app and 30-day bus passes for student transit.
What this means for you:
- The OC Bus app will be discontinued and will no longer work.
- 30-day student bus passes will not be issued or accepted for the Spring term.
- You should start using the Wave eMobile app or a physical Wave card for bus access.

Download the Wave by OCTA App
To create your account, you must use your registered Coastline College email address.
Then, you will need to link to Coastline following the below steps:
- Select "Card Options" ➞ "Institutions".
- Find "Coastline College" in the list and select "Link Institution".
- Return to "Card Options" ➞ "Passes". The pass available through Coastline will be displayed.
- Select "Order Now". A brief success message will confirm that the pass has been loaded.

How does it work?
When you board, scan the pass on your mobile device.
When does it expire?
The Wave by OCTA App pass will renew each semester upon Coastline College class enrollment. Students must maintain enrolled active status for eligibility. All bus passes are non-transferrable.
Who is eligible?
All full-time, part-time, and non-credit students enrolled at Coastline College.
