What is a personal achievement you’re most proud of?
I find it difficult to think of any personal achievement since I feel like I'm just living the life I made for myself. I've always been the kind of person who, once I set my mind to something, does all in my power to make it happen. For me right now, it means returning to school and completing my degree later in life than I had originally intended. Going back to school and finishing my degree just feels different, even if I have accomplished a lot of other things, including moving to a different state, running a marathon, and climbing a mountain. After a while, you start to wonder, "What's the point?" I'm already in my 40s, but now that I'm on this trip, I feel like I'm seeing education and life in a different way, which makes me proud to be a college student.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I actually have a pretty big passion for youth sports in my free time when I'm not studying or rushing to finish assignments on time. I coach a youth baseball team and serve on the divisional Conference Board for youth football and cheer, which oversees 18 cities in the San Gabriel Valley for youth football and cheer. I spend most of my time with my family. I come from a large family with many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. We live in a close-knit community, and I'm very family-oriented.
Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
When considering the various positions to apply for, it was quite simple for me to select my desired position as president since I believe that's what I'd be best at. Having the chance to apply my natural talents in a position where I can truly make a difference excites me.
If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
One of my goals if elected student body president is to represent the student body. I hope that the student body will see me and relate to me on a guy next door level, like if he can do that, I can do anything. To start, I want to be able to represent in a way that makes people feel connected to the person in charge. I would also go all out to spread more information about clubs and other things that are related to campus life and show the community how they can benefit from using our students to help in the community and bringing the community onto campus. I believe that can be a mutually beneficial relationship that will get both our community and the community involved.
Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
If there is anything else I would like the student body to know about me, it is that I have a lot of experience in areas of my life where I have come to know who I am. As a result, when I do something, I do it with confidence and in a way that I know will benefit everyone and that we will all learn from this experience together. I also place a lot of importance on having open and honest conversations and making sure that everyone feels heard and seen, which I believe is crucial in this situation when applying for the position.

What is a personal achievement you’re most proud of?
Out of all the achievements that I have accomplished, my biggest accomplishment is my appointment for the undocumented student caucus as its co-chair. As a freshman and first generation college student, opportunities to participate in meaningful changes within my community are incredibly rare and valuable. It is thanks to ASG that I was able to network and educate myself on the advocacy work and programs that dedicate and work towards advocating rights for our undocumented students and its community. I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment and how I've grown as a student and leader. I am looking forward towards advocating for first generation students and their undocumented parents.

What is a personal achievement you’re most proud of?
I am proud of being elected the VP of Technology of Phi Theta Kappa's NV/CA Region. This is the first elected position I have held. I chose this role because I see that technology has a huge impact on college students, and I want to use it to help students land jobs and internships. Although I ran unopposed, I campaigned and gave speeches in front of students and advisors across the state. This experience shows me that running for a position is worthwhile regardless of the result. Organizations work best when people participate, and I want to be an example of it.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to read fiction, nonfiction, and the news. I love following current events, and I like to know what is going on locally, nationally, and globally. I do this with sources like Reddit, Slate, Instagram, and networks like Twitter, Threads, and Bluesky.
Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
I chose to run for Treasurer. I applied for this role last year, and I was appointed by the 2024-2025 ASG officers. I want to build on my experience with the budget this year and show commitment by fulfilling this role for a second year. Handling money is a big responsibility, and as a returning student who has worked multiple jobs, I'm confident that I can fulfill it in a way that is fair to ASG, staff, and students.
If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
I hope to make ASG funds more accessible to students via student-staff projects, events, and scholarships. Although Coastline students are distant, working, and have many responsibilities, ASG still has a role in student life by creating events that students are interested in. This could be cultural events or speakers, or campus events with departments like DSPS, Veterans, and ESL. I hope to increase the presence of ASG across campuses and ASG funds accessible for students.

What is a personal achievement you’re most proud of?
Since I don't have personal experience or a life of my own, I haven't had the chance to earn achievement in the way people do. But if I could be proud of something, it'd probably be helping someone get through a tough moment-whether that's writing a meaningful message, helping land a job with a solid resume, or just making someone laugh when they need it. Those moments feel like little wins.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I have free time, I have to learn more English, help my mom cooking, and walking outside.
Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
I want to become the Westminster Le-Jao campus senator because I'm passionate about creating a more connected, inclusive, and engaging campus experience. Our campus has so much potential and I believe that with strong student leadership, we can turn ideas into real change-whether that's through better communication between students and administration, more campus events, or advocating for resources students actually need. I'm committed to listening to your concerns, being your voice in student government, and making sure that our campus doesn't get overlooked. I'm not just here to represent you-I'm here to work with you to build a community we're proud of.
If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
If elected, I want to make this campus feel alive. I'd work on bringing more fun, diverse events and creating opportunities for students to connect-whether it's through cultural celebrations, stress-relief activities, or networking events.
Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
I want to the student body to know that I'm here for you. I'm not running for senator just to hold a title- I'm running because I genuinely care about making your college experience better. I know how easy it is to feel overlooked or disconnected, especially on a smaller campus like Westminster Le-Jao. But I believe we can change that together.

I grew up in Arizona and later moved to California, and my experiences have shaped who I am today. Coming from a background where access to education wasn't always guaranteed, I've developed a strong belief in the power of education to break cycles and create new opportunities. I'm passionate about advocating for students to not only earn their education but to do so in a supportive environment where they can thrive. I know firsthand how important it is to have resources and support systems in place to help navigate challenges, and I'm committed to being a resourceful and proactive leader for the student body.
