Four-year universities have core General Education courses and major-specific course requirements that community college transfer-bound students need to complete in order to be eligible for transfer. Listed below are transfer Option II and Option III.
Make an appointment with an academic counselor to determine which transfer option is best for you and to make sense of these options. Update your Education Plan + Student Record (Transcript) with an academic counselor. Take action to enroll in courses you need per your major to complete 60 units and transfer! Save time. Save money.
Transfer Goal to the California State University (CSU) = Option II
Transfer Goal to the University of California (UC) = Option III
Transfer Goal to an Independent, Private California University = Option II or Option III
Transfer Goal to an Out-of-State University = Option III
Does your Education Plan show Option I or General AA/AS Degree?
Do you want to transfer? Option 1 is NOT for transfer. See an academic counselor to update your Education Plan or change your major. Keep your academic and education plan current and accurate.

Articulation is the process that helps students make a smooth transition from Coastline College to other colleges and universities without encountering delays through duplicated or unnecessary coursework. That is, the process of developing a formal, written agreement that identifies courses (or sequences of courses) on a "sending" campus that are comparable to - or acceptable in lieu of - specific course requirements at a "receiving" campus.
The Transfer Center has compiled some options for you to explore four-year schools statewide, and even nationwide.
Welcome to the launch of Virtual Campus Tours! You will be able to "visit" a four-year university virtually anywhere in the world at the comfort of your current location and conveniently 24/7.
These universities highlight where the majority of Coastline transfer students applied and accepted admission. Please note: The web links posted here are from each university's website. Each university is responsible for their own web links and changes to the addresses may be made without prior notice.
