The Adult Education Office partners with local adult schools and community organizations to help adults transition to college. We work with on-campus departments, community organizations, and Special Programs to serve adults seeking to develop literacy and basic skills, advance their education, obtain employment, and improve their wages. Our staff is here to support you every step of your educational journey.

The Adult Education Office is open to the public. We are available to help you in-person, by phone, email, and Zoom. Need a laptop for coursework? We can help with that, too.
Apply for Admission to Coastline
To become a Coastline student, apply online through the OpenCCC Noncredit application. After you submit your free online application, you will receive an email containing your login information for MyCoast, the student portal.
Please Note: This application is ONLY for Noncredit Classes (such as ESL, Career Skills courses, and the COAST program).
If you are interested in credit classes (college-level courses for a degree or transfer), please visit the Coastline College website and complete the credit application instead.

Dual Enrollment
Adult Education students can achieve their educational and career goals faster by earning college credits for free!
You can earn college credits at Coastline - for free - if you are enrolled in a high school diploma or equivalency program at Huntington Beach Adult School (HBAS) or Garden Grove Adult Education (GGAE). Benefits include:
- Free college classes; you pay no tuition
- No residency requirements
- Complete up to 11 units per semester
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Actively enrolled in a high school diploma or High School Equivalency Program at an adult school

If you are a returning Dual Enrollment student, a new K12 form is required for every semester. Please contact your Adult School Counselor to renew and complete the Adult Ed K12 Supplemental Application Form.
