The Truth about Human Trafficking in Orange County
Please join to learn about the Truth of Human Trafficking here in Orange County. Human Trafficking is happening in our community, and we want all students and faculty to be aware of the signs and what to do if you suspect someone is being coerced or manipulated. Human Trafficking is a complex issue, and we want people to feel empowered to help stop this fast growing, very lucrative industry.
Wear Purple
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence continues to be a profound and pervasive social and public health crisis that intersects class, race, ethnicity, and sexuality. Each year, 10 million women and men in the U.S. experience domestic violence.
You are encouraged to wear purple to show support for those who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and let them know that help is available. To participate in the 'Purple Thursday' campaign, please share a photo of you wearing purple and tag @coastline1 on Instagram.
What is Domestic Violence and How To Support Others
As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), the Title IX office is hosting a Resource Fair to provide information for survivors and allies from community organizations that raise awareness of relationship violence, as well as providing opportunities to get involved.
Sunset: Yoga for Healing
Yoga can release emotional tension in the body which in turn encourages physical and emotional healing. Join us for a survivor centered yoga class to assist in healing. Bring your mats and an open heart. Hosted by Yogi Sara Brady.
Green Dot Bystander Training
The Green Dot Bystander Training is for students who are interested in learning about bystander intervention and how to end power-based personal violence on our campus.
