Making Cognitive Connections Using the PDA
About the PDA Course
This course, part of the online ABI Boot Camp, is designed for survivors of brain injury and any individuals interested in learning to use a PDA (personal digital assistant or hand-held computer) to help with:
- Memory compensation
- Organization
- Time management
This course series covers many PDA functions. Students will learn to use the PDA as a (an):
- Clock
- Calendar
- Address book
- GPS (global positioning system)
- Mobile phone
- Platform for sending and receiving e-mail
- Platform for playing computer games
…and so much more.
The PDA course requires a textbook and a Windows-based PDA or smartphone, available through Special Programs as needed. The course is offered on site as well as online.
